Vucic pointed to the possibility of Serbia and Hungary joining a military alliance.

Serbia intends to strengthen strategic cooperation with Hungary to create a military alliance. This was announced on April 1 by President Alexander Vucic after a meeting with Hungarian Defense Minister Christoph Szalai-Bobrowniczy at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade.
"Defense cooperation with Hungary is at a high level and is moving towards a military alliance. <...> Of course, the Hungarian side, the Hungarian and Serbian parliaments and all others will have the right to vote on this issue," the Tanjug news agency quoted him as saying.
The Serbian President stressed that cooperation in the field of defense is one of the most important aspects of comprehensive strategic cooperation with Hungary.
He also clarified that the key elements of relations with Budapest are military cooperation, which is expressed in conducting exercises, as well as cooperation in the field of military technology, which is expressed in the acquisition of weapons and their systems.
Vucic added that the Serbian side expects an early meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to continue strategic cooperation on other issues.
Dragan Stanojevic, chairman of the Serbian Parliament's committee on Diaspora and Serbs in the region, told Izvestia on March 27 that Serbia was proposing alliances with Hungary and Slovakia in response to an agreement on military cooperation between Croatia, Albania and self-proclaimed Kosovo. He clarified that the Serbian side is negotiating an agreement on mutual support and cooperation.
