Putin signed a decree on the establishment of Mentor's Day in Russia on March 2.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has set Mentor's Day in the country on March 2. The relevant decree was published on April 1 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"In order to popularize and develop the institute of mentoring, I decree: To establish mentor day and celebrate it on March 2," the decree says.

It is specified that the Ministry of Education of Russia on January 14 proposed to establish Mentor's Day and celebrate it on March 2.

On October 29, 2024, the State Duma adopted in the second and third readings a bill on additional payments for mentoring at work. The law regulates the institution of mentoring and establishes guarantees for supervisors who will help young professionals adapt to their first job.
