Russia is ready to offer the United States and Iran its assistance in building a constructive dialogue on the nuclear program. This was announced on April 1 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

"While there is still time and the train has not left, we need to redouble our efforts in order to try to reach an agreement on a reasonable basis. Russia is ready to offer its good offices here to Washington, Tehran, and anyone who is interested in this," Ryabkov said in an interview with the International Life magazine.

He added that Russia opposes forceful solutions to the situation. According to him, there would be catastrophic consequences if the United States attacked Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

On March 30, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with bombing if the parties did not sign an agreement on Tehran's refusal to develop nuclear weapons.

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said on March 27 that the country rules out the possibility of holding nuclear talks with the United States until the United States stops exerting pressure on Iran.
