So, in Primorsky Krai, on 394 km of the federal highway A-370 "Ussuri" (Khabarovsk — Vladivostok), a passenger car driver drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with another passenger car. The culprit of the car accident was sent for outpatient treatment after medical treatment, and his passenger ended up in the hospital with injuries.

On Monday, 18 bus accidents were recorded, in which two people were killed, and 33 more road users, including one child, were injured. 10 bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by drivers of other vehicles.

In the Altai Territory, on the 18 km of the Biysk — Border of Kemerovo Region highway, a passenger car driver collided with an intercity bus with five passengers in the cabin moving ahead in the same direction. After the collision, both vehicles went into a ditch, and the bus overturned. A bus passenger and a passenger car were killed in the accident. In addition, another bus passenger and two car passengers were injured and were hospitalized. The culprit of the incident had not previously been issued a driver's license.

As a result of 69 accidents, 25 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 44 outside their area of operation, four pedestrians were killed, 68 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured are 18 children under the age of 16, 12 of whom were injured while crossing the roadway in unintended places. 37 accidents involving minors were registered, as a result of which 38 young road users, including 15 passengers, were injured. Two children were killed: a passenger and a pedestrian.

So, in the Moscow region in the morning, on the 48 km of the federal highway M-9 "Baltia", the driver of a cargo GAZELLE collided in his lane with a light truck passing him. After that, both trucks overturned on the roadway, the second crashed into another Gazelle moving in the same direction with them.

The accident killed a six-year-old passenger of the second GAZELLE, who was in the front passenger seat on the right and was wearing a seat belt. In the Republic of Dagestan, on 120 km of the Makhachkala—Verkhny Gunib regional highway, a passenger car driver ran over a five-year-old pedestrian girl who was playing near the roadway and suddenly ran out onto the road in front of the car. The girl died.

"We draw parents' attention to the need to ensure the maximum safety of their preschool and primary school-age children in the spring, when, with the onset of warmth and longer daylight hours, they begin to spend a lot of free time outdoors, and as a result, they are more likely to get into car accidents. Protect them from outdoor outdoor games near the roadway," Police Colonel Sergei Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, told Izvestia.

To improve the visibility of young pedestrians at night, retroreflective elements should be used on children's outerwear. The lack of parental control over the behavior and leisure of children can lead to injury or death of young road users, he stressed.

When driving in a populated area, motorists need to be careful and reduce their speed as much as possible in order to be able to react adequately to a possible sudden change in the road situation at any moment. It is important to remember that the behavior of child pedestrians playing near the road, as well as underage drivers using bicycles, scooters and personal mobility aids, is often unpredictable due to age and psychological characteristics, Hrantskevich added.

On March 28, it was reported that the State Duma had prepared a bill proposing to triple the fine for parking cars on the sidewalk. The fine should increase from 1 thousand to 3 thousand rubles, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, deputies say.
