Russia has never sought to spoil relations with other states, especially with its neighbors, but has always advocated mutually beneficial cooperation. This was announced on April 1 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the words of Finnish President Alexander Stubb about the need to be ready to resume relations with Russia.

"Russia has always advocated and stands for the maintenance and development of good mutually beneficial relations based on mutual respect. The same applies to Finland, and just recently, a few days earlier, I would like to remind you of the words of the President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] that it would seem that Finland and Sweden, we had no problems with them at all," Peskov stressed.
