Advisor Gutsul stated the desire of the ruling party of Moldova to liquidate Gagauzia

The Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) has launched a petition to liquidate the Gagauz Autonomy following the arrest of its head, Yevgenia Hutsul. This opinion was expressed on April 1 by the adviser to the head of the autonomy, public figure Mikhail Vlakh.
"While we are fighting for the release of the head of Gagauzia, the PYD regime has launched a petition to eliminate the Gagauz autonomy," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Vlah added that the demographic situation is also unstable. He cited data that recently about 50% of the population has left Moldova, and the struggle for independence and sovereignty of the country is being waged by a small "handful of patriots."
At the same time, Vlah noted that if Gagauzia loses, the entire territory of the country will lose. He also called for continuing to defend the freedom of the state.
Hutsul was detained at the Chisinau airport on March 25. According to the Moldovan Prosecutor General's Office, this happened after her name was found on the list of persons prohibited from leaving the country.
On March 28, the head of Gagauzia was arrested for 20 days, which turned out to be 10 days less than the prosecutors requested. Then the Pobeda political bloc announced that the decision to extend Hutsul's arrest would be protested by the defense in the Chisinau Court of Appeal.
