Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin discussed with Turkish Ambassador to Russia Tanju Bilgic the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. The relevant information was published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry on April 1.
During the talks, the parties discussed the situation in the Black Sea, taking into account Russian-Turkish developments on the safety of navigation. They paid special attention to the Ukrainian crisis, focusing on finding ways to resolve it and eliminate its causes.
"In this regard, the Russian side emphasized the importance of ensuring full implementation of the Russia-UN Memorandum on the Normalization of domestic agricultural Exports, including the establishment of bank payments, solving insurance and transport logistics problems, unblocking "frozen" assets, resuming supplies of spare parts and equipment," the ministry said.
Earlier, on March 3, it was reported that the leadership of Russia and Turkey maintains an active dialogue, so relations between the two countries have not cooled down, but continue to develop in different directions.
On February 27, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko, arriving in Istanbul as part of the official visit of the Russian delegation, conveyed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan an oral message from Russian leader Vladimir Putin on bilateral relations and the international agenda.
