Two universities near Moscow have been recognized as one of the best universities in Russia

In the Moscow Region, two educational institutions, the State University of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSU) and the State University of Humanities and Technology (GSTU), have been ranked among the best universities in Russia. This is reported by the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya with reference to the regional Ministry of Education.

The rating compilers took into account the results of some studies, including the ratings of the "First Mission", RAEX, the Hirsch Index, and Brand Analytics.

In total, the list of the best Russian universities includes 708 educational organizations. They were evaluated according to such indicators as the demand for graduates, reputation among employers, international recognition and the level of scientific activity.

In early March, it was reported that the first nationwide state ranking of universities and colleges would appear in Russia. The relevant draft government decree was prepared by the Ministry of Labor. The national rating, according to the draft, is a point assessment of universities and colleges that correspond to the level of demand for their graduates in the labor market. It will be determined by the median salary and employment level of former students two years after graduation.
