The website and mobile application of the Russian Railways company were subjected to a massive hacker DDoS attack. This was announced on April 1 by the company's press service.

"Our website and mobile application have been subjected to a massive DDoS attack," the Telegram channel says.

At the same time, it is noted that the ticket offices at the stations and train stations continue to operate normally. Tickets are also sold.

The company apologized for the inconvenience and added that measures are currently being taken to restore the operation of the resources.

Earlier, on February 26, Mikhail Khlebunov, Servicepipe's product director, told Izvestia that the number of carpet DDoS attacks against telecom in Russia increased throughout 2024, and this trend continued in 2025. The expert noted that attackers use the tactics of multi-vector carpet attacks, when malicious traffic goes to multiple IP addresses at once.
