The number of Tesla cars in Russia has been calculated


In total, sales of new Tesla cars in Russia amounted to 4,308 units. As of the beginning of 2025, the brand's fleet of electric cars is 6,745 units. The difference (2,4 thousand) was brought into the country in second-hand condition. Sergey Tselikov, CEO of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on April 1.
In 2013, eight Tesla electric cars were sold in Russia. Over the next six years, the indicator did not reach 100 units per year. In 2020, it grew to 221 units, and in 2021, to 736 units. In 2022, 991 electric cars were sold, in 2023 - 1257 units, and in 2024 - 685 units. According to the results of the first two months of 2025, 34 such electric vehicles were sold in Russia.
The most common Tesla model in the country is the Model Y (1,815 units). It is followed by the Model 3 (1,475 units), Model X (578 units), Model S (416 units) and Cybertruck (24 units).
More than half of Tesla's electric vehicles (52%) are operated in the Moscow region. About 10% in St. Petersburg and the region, 6.4% in the Krasnodar Territory, 2.4% in the Perm Territory, 2% each in Tatarstan and the Sverdlovsk region.
The day before, it was reported that there were 47.5 million passenger cars in Russia as of the beginning of this year. Three quarters of them, 35.5 million, are under the age of 20. The share of electric cars and plug-in hybrids is only 0.3%. At the same time, 6.5% of cars have diesel engines at once. And every 30th has a right-hand steering wheel.
