An exhibition dedicated to the contribution of Soviet scientists to the victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) has opened in Moscow at the house of the Russian Historical Society (RIO). Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), spoke about the details of the exhibition on April 1.

He noted that the exhibition is dedicated to Soviet and Russian scientists, engineers, and designers involved in strengthening the country's national defense capability.

"The exhibition, as if echoing each other, presents both samples of military equipment from the Great Patriotic War and modern developments that are used today in the special military operation zone," said the director of the SVR.

Naryshkin recalled that during the Second World War, the country actively worked for the needs of the front, while every engineer and designer at the military-industrial complexes had the idea that every shell, mine or tank produced brought victory over fascism closer. According to him, such motives have been preserved by modern representatives of these professions.

"Times are changing, but talent, ingenuity and the desire to contribute to strengthening the country's defense capability and ensuring its security remain the same," he concluded.

On the eve of the Multimedia Information Center (MIC) "Izvestia" launched a virtual interactive museum "Great Victory", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The unique platform was created using modern visualization technologies.

The museum's unified modern space contains unique archival materials, 3D models of weapons and equipment, interactive maps, animated photographs of military personnel and interviews with living veterans, as well as other invaluable evidence of great history.
