A passenger of a car that flew into a ditch off the highway died in the Irkutsk region.

In the Irkutsk region, a car flew off the highway into a ditch, resulting in the death of a passenger. This was announced on April 1 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region in the Telegram channel.

"A 34-year-old female driver, driving a Toyota Vitz car, following from the village of Listvyanka in the direction of Irkutsk, in the area of the 22nd kilometer of the Irkutsk-Listvyanka highway, lost control and drove into a ditch," the department informed.

As a result of the accident, a 64-year-old passenger died on the spot.

Two more people inside the car were taken to the hospital with injuries. They receive the necessary assistance.

"A comprehensive audit is currently underway, which will result in a legal decision," the Traffic Police concluded.

On March 31, a firefighter died as a result of a car rollover in the Altai Territory. As a result of the incident, a specialist from the 75th fire and rescue unit was killed. Two more victims are in the hospital. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
