The media learned about the EU's desire to resume Russian gas supplies

Senior German officials have again started talking about possible Russian gas supplies after the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine due to increasingly poor relations with US President Donald Trump. This was reported by Der Spiegel magazine on Monday, March 31.
"If the EU continues to adhere to the plan to abandon Russian gas by 2027, it will increasingly depend on the increasingly unpredictable United States," the publication says.
They added that the EU is currently in an "energy trap, where Trump is trying to impose more liquefied natural gas, and Russia insists on the return of the Nord Stream 2 project.
At the same time, it is noted that with the EU's rapprochement with the Russian Federation, it will become dependent on two "undesirable partners."
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said he had asked Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko to stop attacks on Russian energy facilities.
According to him, he made such a request to the Ministry of Energy during a recent meeting with him.
In addition, Szijjarto said on March 11 that oil supplies from the Russian Federation to Hungary via Druzhba were suspended due to an attack by an APU drone on the measuring station of the pipeline.
