The Primorsky Interregional Rosselkhoznadzor Administration ordered the Svetofor retail chain to destroy 1.3 tons of products in which violations were detected. The company is also obliged to pay a fine of 100 thousand rubles, the press service of the department reported on April 1.

"The stores revealed the sale and storage without veterinary accompanying documents of over 6 thousand cans of canned fish and meat, more than 11 thousand pieces of chicken eggs, over 780 kg of block-frozen squid and other types of products for which it is impossible to establish traceability and welfare in veterinary and sanitary terms," the statement said.

The unscheduled inspections of the retail chain took place in February. They affected the company's stores in Nakhodka, Dalnegorsk, BUT Fokino, in the urban-type settlements of Pogranichny, Olga and Lipovtsy.

On March 19, the Rosselkhoznadzor called Svetofor stores a platform for the sale of counterfeit goods. Currently, employees of the territorial administration continue to monitor the sale of animal products in Svetofor supermarkets. According to the agency, all unsafe products were disposed of. In addition, administrative cases were initiated and warnings were issued about the inadmissibility of violations of established norms.
