The United Nations (UN) has accused the Israeli army of killing 15 medical workers in the Gaza Strip. This was reported on March 31 by The Guardian newspaper.

"According to the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs, employees of the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) and Civil Defense carried out a mission to rescue colleagues who were shot at earlier in the day when their clearly marked vehicles came under heavy Israeli fire in the Tel al Sultan area of Rafah," the newspaper reports.

It is specified that the dead medical workers were subsequently buried in a mass grave in southern Gaza. At the same time, the body of one of the doctors was found with his hands tied.

"The shooting occurred on March 23, the day after the resumption of the Israeli offensive in the area close to the Egyptian border. Another Red Crescent employee who was on the mission is missing," the newspaper informs.

A day earlier, Al Jazeera TV channel reported 64 deaths per day as a result of Israeli strikes on Gaza. On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310. The media also said that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
