U.S. Secretary of State to attend meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will take part in a meeting of the foreign ministers of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries, which will be held in Brussels on April 2-4. This was announced on Monday, March 31, by the head of the press service of the State Department, Tammy Bruce.
"U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Brussels, Belgium, from April 2-4. In Brussels, Secretary Rubio will take part in a meeting of the foreign ministers of NATO countries," she said during a briefing broadcast on the YouTube channel of Reuters.
It is specified that the meeting will discuss NATO's security priorities, including increasing defense spending and "ensuring lasting peace in Ukraine."
On March 31, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the rhetoric of the administration of US President Donald Trump about the possible withdrawal of the country from NATO is designed only to "spur" the members of the bloc and is unlikely to become reality.
