Russian stormtroopers told the details of the liberation of Zaporizhia in the DPR

On April 1, the stormtroopers of the Center group of forces told about the details of the liberation of the Zaporizhia settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"Everything is there — kamikaze is there, artillery is there, we have all this. We process all this first with kamikazes, artillery, and then the assault groups go to clear it mostly. Well, anything happens in war, of course," the commander of the third assault company, Lieutenant Akhmetshin Ilshat Raisovich, shared his impressions with Izvestia correspondent Valentin Trushnin.

According to him, the fighting initially took place on the outskirts of the village. After the Russian troops were consolidated on the ground, the way to Zaporozhye itself became open.

"After this task, I was appointed deputy political officer, since the previous deputy political officer, unfortunately, died. Yes, I came in as a platoon commander, there were 10 people behind me. By groups, everything is exactly the same," said Artur Rafikovich Galin, acting deputy political officer of the first company of the first battalion of the 428th Motorized Rifle Regiment.

He clarified that during the assault, the fighters used special anti-drone blankets, which help to remain invisible to the drone operator.

"To hide from an enemy drone, an anti—drone blanket is used. <...> You cover yourself with it and the drone does not see you," the fighter said.

The Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Zaporizhia on March 30. In addition, the fighters of the "Center" defeated formations of 10 brigades, a regiment and a battalion of attack aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Alekseevka, Zverevo, Peschanoe, Petrovskoye, Kotlino, Mirolyubovka, Shevchenko, Uspenovka, Novosergeyevka, Udachnoye, Krasnoarmeysk and Novoretskoye. Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military destroyed the American M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an FPV drone strike. The enemy's gun was hidden among the vegetation, and after a direct hit by the drone, it exploded.
