Germany announced its intention to continue supporting new anti-Russian sanctions

Germany intends to continue to support the introduction of new anti-Russian sanctions at the European Union (EU) level. This was announced on Monday, March 31, by the official representative of the German government, the official speaker of the Cabinet of Ministers of Germany Christiane Hoffmann.
"We have always supported the sanctions imposed within the EU, and we will continue to do so in the future," she said during a briefing, RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
Earlier in the day, the Spanish Foreign Ministry published a statement on its website saying that Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and France had expressed their readiness to impose new sanctions against Russia over the conflict in Ukraine. The document notes that the Russian Federation must demonstrate a "serious commitment" to resolving the situation.
