Pakistan's security forces eliminated 17 terrorists in the north-west of the country

Pakistan's security forces eliminated 17 terrorists from the Fitna al-Khawarij organization in the north-west of the country, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported on March 31, citing a statement by Attaullah Tarar, the country's Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
The minister clarified that the operation was carried out in the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. At the same time, the process of eliminating the militants did not affect the civilian population in any way, since the nearest settlement was located at a distance of more than 6 km from the site of the military operation.
Earlier, on March 13, 16 terrorists were killed while trying to cross the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Also on March 16, seven people, including three soldiers of the Pakistan Border Guard Corps, were killed and 35 injured as a result of an attack by militants of the Balochistan Liberation Army (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation) using an explosive device on a convoy of buses.
