The State Department commented on Trump's words about the deal on minerals

The words of US President Donald Trump about the deal with Ukraine on minerals "speak for themselves." This was stated on March 31 by the head of the press service of the State Department, Tammy Bruce, answering a question from a journalist.
"I think the president's words speak for themselves," she said.
According to Bruce, the ceasefire is a "guiding light" for all parties involved in the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, she stressed that discussions are underway on other issues.
A day earlier, Trump told reporters that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was trying to abandon a deal with the American side on critically important mineral resources. He warned that Zelensky would have problems if the agreement was canceled.
On March 31, political analyst Alexander Konkov predicted negative consequences for Kiev due to the fossil deal. According to him, Zelensky faces a kind of Zugzwang. On the one hand, he has already promised to be ready for a deal with the United States regarding rare earth metals, under which he is ready to let Americans into this area in Ukraine, providing all the deposits, organizational, and industrial capabilities.
