If Iran refuses to negotiate on its nuclear program, the United States will take other measures that Tehran will not like. This was announced on March 31 by the official representative of the US State Department, Tammy Bruce.

She said that Iran's policy is harmful to the interests of the United States. It is for this reason that US President Donald Trump has resumed active pressure on Tehran over its nuclear program and Iranian ties to groups that Washington considers terrorist.

"The president expressed a desire to discuss a deal with Iran..."If the Iranian regime doesn't want a deal, then the president has made it clear that he will use other options that will be extremely bad for Iran," Bruce said at a briefing broadcast on the Reuters news agency's YouTube channel.

Earlier, on March 30, Trump warned Tehran that if the country's leadership refuses to sign a new nuclear deal, the Islamic Republic will face the introduction of secondary duties and airstrikes. Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in turn, said that the United States expects a serious retaliatory strike in the event of attacks on the territory of the Middle Eastern state.
