Belarusian customs officers caught an American who came illegally from Lithuania

The customs authorities of Belarus have caught a US citizen who illegally arrived from Lithuania in an empty carriage. This was announced on March 31 in the press service of the State Customs Committee of the country.

"A 27-year—old U.S. citizen was traveling from Lithuania in one of the empty railroad cars," the agency said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that the violator was detained by an alarm group of customs in cooperation with employees of the Molodechno District police Department and the paramilitary guard of the Belarusian Railways.

For further proceedings, the US citizen was transferred to the border service authorities.

Earlier, on March 18, border guards of Belarus found the bodies of two migrants on the border with Lithuania and Poland. According to the investigation, the first body was located 600 m from the border, in the forest. During the inspection, the man's personal belongings and an empty backpack were found, but no documents were found with him. Belarusian border guards found another body in the Kamenetsky district, near the border with Poland. During the inspection, it was established that the deceased was not wearing outerwear and shoes.
