The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) temporarily decommissioned two remote mooring devices at the marine terminal after an inspection by Rostransnadzor. This was announced on March 31 by the company's press service.

The inspection at the enterprise took place from March 27 to March 31.

"As a result of the inspection, the relevant documents were received: an act on conducting an inspection, an order to eliminate the identified violations and a protocol on the temporary prohibition of activities at the facilities of the CPC-1 and CPC-2 Military Industrial Complex," the press service quoted TASS as saying.

It is indicated that the berths will be put back into operation after the elimination of the problems identified during the inspection. Until then, all transshipment operations at the terminal will be carried out via a third remote berthing device.

Earlier, on March 26, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation announced unscheduled safety checks at water transport facilities in the Azov-Black Sea basin. Inspections are taking place in connection with the oil spill after the tanker crash in the Kerch Strait. The inspectors' attention is focused on the safety of loading and unloading operations with dangerous goods.
