A criminal case has been opened into a fatal accident involving a minibus in the DPR

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case into an accident involving a bus that occurred in the Novoazovsky municipal district on the R-280 Novorossiya highway. This was announced on March 31 by the press service of the department in the Telegram channel.

As indicated in the Investigative Committee, an investigative team is working at the scene. Auto technical and other necessary examinations have been appointed. Investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

It is specified that the criminal case was initiated under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of two or more persons").

A minibus traveling from Krasnodar to Mariupol collided with utility vehicles on the highway R-280 Novorossiya on the afternoon of March 31. Six people were killed and seven others were injured. The injured were hospitalized for medical treatment.
