Bodies of three American soldiers found in Lithuania

The bodies of three missing American servicemen have been found in Lithuania, and the search for the fourth continues. The relevant information was published on March 31 on the website of the US Army Command in Europe and Africa.
"The soldiers, whose identities have not been disclosed until their next of kin are notified, went missing in the early morning of March 25 in their M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicle while on a mission to repair and tow an immobilized tactical vehicle," the ministry wrote.
It is specified that the search team is now using ground penetrating radar to survey the territory in search of the fourth soldier.
"We grieve with the families and loved ones of these outstanding soldiers at this difficult and irreparable moment. However, the search is not completed until everyone is found. It is impossible to express in words our gratitude to those who continue to work around the clock, showing their unwavering determination not to stop until everyone is returned home," the publication says.
It is noted that on March 30, a memorial mass was held in Vilnius Cathedral, which was attended by American, German and Lithuanian military personnel, as well as high-ranking representatives of the United States, NATO and Lithuania.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office had launched a preliminary investigation into the circumstances of the possible deaths of four American servicemen whose M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle sank in a swamp. The armored vehicle was discovered on March 27.
On the same day, the media reported the deaths of four American soldiers who went missing during exercises at a training ground near the city of Pabrade in Lithuania. However, their deaths have not been officially confirmed.
