The imposition of additional services in car dealerships may become illegal


The bill banning the imposition of additional services on customers, including in car dealerships, will be considered this week as a matter of priority. This was stated by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin in his Telegram channel on March 31.
The draft law is designed to protect citizens from excessive spending, as well as to stop attempts at manipulation and coercion to make unnecessary and unprofitable purchases, Volodin said.
"Many reported that they often encounter this when using banking services, purchasing air and train tickets, contacting car dealerships, buying communication packages and subscriptions, etc.," the chairman of the State Duma wrote.
He recalled that in the comments, users had previously expressed support for the proposed solutions, including the sale of additional goods, services and works for a fee only with the consent of the consumer; a ban on their imposition before concluding a contract for the purchase of basic goods, works and services; and the appearance of citizens the right to claim a refund for goods provided without consent., services and work that must be satisfied within three days.
On March 28, it was reported that the State Duma had prepared a bill proposing to triple the fine for parking cars on the sidewalk. The fine should increase from 1 thousand to 3 thousand rubles, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, deputies say.
