Rescuers evacuated 19 people from a flooded tent camp in Sochi.

A tent camp with a tourist group was flooded in Sochi, rescuers evacuated 19 people. This was announced on March 31 by the Krasnodar regional emergency rescue service Kuban-SPAS.

It is noted that the tourists were in a mountainous and wooded area in the Khostinsky district, near the village of Krasnaya Volya. Flooding occurred due to heavy rainfall.

"Rescuers from the Adler detachment promptly arrived at the scene and evacuated 19 people, including 10 children. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the team, everyone was successfully transported to a safe place," the Telegram channel of the emergency service said.

They clarified that none of the tourists needed medical help.

On March 14, Roman Vilfand, Scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, named a list of regions that are at risk of flooding this year. According to him, flooding is predicted in the Orenburg, Murmansk, Leningrad and Novgorod regions. Ufa, Yakutia, Chukotka, Khabarovsk Territory, Zabaikalsky Territory, Kirov, Samara, Omsk and Sverdlovsk regions are also at risk. According to the expert, the flood will mainly develop in April.
