The grave of the recently deceased Izvestia correspondent Alexander Fedorchak has been restored after an act of vandalism. The footage is published by Izvestia on March 31.

New wreaths, a portrait in a funeral frame and a cross have now been installed on the grave, which was illuminated by Archpriest Alexander Samobodai, rector of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Nizhnegorsky.

"The grave was cleared of coals, and nothing reminds of the nighttime arson," said Oleg Zaikovsky, a correspondent for Izvestia.

Archpriest Samobodai clarified that crosses are also illuminated on other desecrated graves.

This morning it became known that in Crimea, vandals burned and destroyed Fedorchak's grave. A criminal case has been opened into the abuse of the grave of the correspondent and three other dead participants in the special operation.

Vladimir Tyulin, General Director of the Izvestia News Center, called the incident an action organized by the enemy side. According to him, the whole world should see and realize the rightness of the fight against such an unscrupulous and immoral enemy.

Fedorchak's death in the special military operation zone became known on March 24. He worked on the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic and in the Kharkiv region.
