Turkish singer Volkan Konak died on stage during a performance

Turkish singer Volkan Konak lost consciousness on stage during a performance and died at the age of 58. This was reported on March 31 by the Turkiye Today edition with reference to the local Ministry of Health.

According to the source, he had a performance in Cyprus on March 30. The musician became ill, he lost consciousness. The audience tried to help the artist and called the doctors. Volkan was urgently hospitalized, but they could not save him.

"Actor Volkan Konak was admitted to the Magus State Hospital at 00:17 after he suddenly became ill. Unfortunately, he died at 00:42, despite the efforts of doctors," the newspaper wrote, citing a written statement from the local Ministry of Health.

Konak was born on February 27, 1967. He has been interested in creative work since childhood, and released his debut album in 1989. His record, which was released in 2006, called Mora, was recognized as "golden". He was also a multiple winner of the Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards as the best folk musician.
