Three people were killed in an explosion at a mosque in Uzbekistan.

In the Andijan region of Uzbekistan, an explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred on the territory of a mosque, as a result of which three people were killed and another 10 injured. This was reported on March 31 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic.

"The Andijan regional Fire Department received a message about an outbreak of a gas-air mixture in the ablution room on the territory of the mosque located on Yangibazar Street of the Mirzo Ulugbek Izbaskan MFU of the Andijan region," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue services, fire crews and representatives of local authorities arrived at the scene. As a result of the explosion, the walls and roof of the sanitary room were damaged, but there was no fire.

It is specified that the victims have already been taken to the hospital.
