Putin signed a decree on spring conscription

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree providing for conscription of Russian citizens aged 18 to 30 from April 1 to July 15. The relevant document was posted on the official publication of legal acts on March 31.

"I decree that from April 1 to July 15, 2025, citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30 who are not in reserve and are subject to <...> conscription for military service, in the number of 160 thousand people, will be called up for military service," the decree says.
