Avtoteka has become the leader among online services for checking the history of used cars in terms of the completeness of the information provided. This is reported by the Autostat agency based on the results of a study conducted among employees of dealerships and sites working with used cars.

The study found that 88.6% of respondents use various tools to check their car history. Most of them (96.2%) use online databases to solve this problem. At the same time, 83.8% of respondents believe that Avtoteka (Avito Avto project) has it is the most complete. The traffic police website ranks second in this indicator (24.8%).

Avtoteka is also in the first place in terms of frequency of use (87.6% of respondents actively use the service), the traffic police website is in second (83.8%), and the FSSP website is in third (73.3%).

"We owe these results to the fact that we are constantly working to improve our service. Our goal is to make the car inspection process as simple, informative and user—friendly as possible," commented Andrey Tumkin, Managing Director of Avtoteka.

He said that within the framework of this area, Autoteca has recently introduced an updated report format: now AI algorithms based on data on the history of the car automatically give users recommendations for further actions and help them decide whether to immediately go to inspect the car, involve an expert for consultation or better consider other options.

Tatiana Malygina, Head of the marketing department at the Autostat analytical agency, noted that the procedure for checking the history of a used car has become an integral part of the business processes of the vast majority of car dealers (97%). "There are many services that help to check the operation history of a particular car. Avtoteka is the most popular according to the survey results," Malygina added.

The online survey was conducted from February 20 to March 4, 2025, and was attended by 100 respondents from dealerships and sites involved in trade-in transactions and sales of used cars.
