Hutsul's defense filed an appeal against the decision to arrest her.

The defense of the head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Hutsul, filed an appeal against the decision on her arrest, which lasts for 30 days. Prosecutor Adrian Scutaru told reporters about this on March 31.
"Hutsul's lawyers have already appealed to the Court of Appeal to challenge the decision on preventive arrest made on March 29," TASS quoted Skutaru as saying.
The prosecutors, in turn, are seeking the arrest of the head of Gagauzia in the second criminal case, as the defense appealed to the court in the first. According to Scutaru, the law does not prohibit requesting a new arrest. He also stressed that these are two different cases with different circumstances.
As a result, the court decided to postpone the sentencing of Hutsul's detention for 30 days in the second case until April 1.
"The court session will continue on April 1. It is expected to decide on the application of a preventive measure to Evgenia Hutsul in the form of arrest for a period of 30 days in the framework of the second criminal case," said Scutaru.
Earlier, on March 29, Hutsul, under arrest, published an appeal to citizens. She noted that the arrest is a blow to the whole of Gagauzia. Hutsul also urged her supporters to "not give in to fear" and not give up.
Hutsul was detained at the Chisinau airport on March 25. According to the Moldovan Prosecutor General's Office, this happened after her name was found on the list of persons prohibited from leaving the country.
