A schoolgirl saved three children during a fire in Mordovia


In the Republic of Mordovia, a 14-year-old girl rescued three children from a burning apartment. This was announced on March 31 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"On March 30, an apartment in a high-rise building burned in Saransk. There were four underage children at home. A fearless girl grabbed an 11-month-old baby, his 5-year—old and 10-year-old brothers and took them all outside," the agency said in a statement posted on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 16 people from the smoke-filled building, including two children, none of them was injured. The fire was extinguished by 19 employees and 5 units of special equipment.
Earlier, on March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the medal "For Saving the Dead" to schoolgirl Victoria Grebenkova, who saved her sisters and brothers from a house fire in the Tomsk region. A girl led five children out of a burning building.
