Recalculation of the CTP coefficient for all drivers will take place on April 1.

The automatic recalculation of the bonus-malus coefficient (KBM), which affects the cost of the CTP policy, will take place on April 1. This procedure takes place annually for all drivers, the new values are valid for one year, the press service of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) reported on March 31.
After recalculation, the BMI for accident-free drivers decreases, while for emergency drivers it increases. The minimum value of the coefficient is 0.46, the maximum is 3.92. The KBM, which will be applied at the initial conclusion of the CTP contract for the "novice" driver, is 1.17.
As explained by the head of the RSA, Evgeny Ufimtsev, the MSC decreases if there were no insurance claims. The more accidents, the higher the coefficient. Recalculation takes place in relation to car owners, information about which is available in the insurance AIS, regardless of whether CTP contracts were concluded in the previous period and their duration (annual or short—term contract)
According to the RSA, by the end of 2024, more than a third of all drivers (35.8%) have the maximum discount for accident-free driving under CTP, which is 54%. Last year, the share of such drivers increased by 4.7 percentage points. Ufimtsev noted that Moscow has the most accurate drivers.
On March 27, it was reported that car owners from the new regions reunited with Russia — the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), as well as the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, issued 634.5 thousand CTP policies from October 1, 2024 to March 13 this year.
On March 24, RSA President Yevgeny Ufimtsev told Izvestia that the minimum base rate of the CTP insurance tariff for Russia and Belarus for passenger vehicles would be 3,400 rubles, and the maximum would be 3,590 rubles, while for trucks the rate ranged from 7,560 to 7,980 rubles.
