Irina Lozovan, a member of the Moldovan parliament from the Pobeda bloc, was sentenced to six years in prison in the case of financing the Shor political party. The relevant verdict was delivered by Judge Sergey Stratan on March 31.

"Lozovan is sentenced to six years in prison," he concluded.

She will serve her sentence in a semi-closed penitentiary for women.

Natalia Paraska, the leader of the Vozrozhdenie party, which is part of the Pobeda opposition bloc, announced on March 27 that the Moldovan Anti-Corruption Center had illegally banned her from leaving the country. She called the decision an obvious violation of the constitutional rights to freedom of movement and the presumption of innocence.

On the same day, the leader of the opposition Chance party in Moldova, Alexei Lungu, announced that he could not fly from Chisinau. He stressed that he was not involved in any criminal case, calling what was happening another lawlessness of the current Moldovan authorities.

Later, in an interview with Izvestia, he said that during the presidency of head of state Maia Sandu, Moldova had become a "fascist state." According to him, with the coming to power of a healthy political force and the rule of law, none of the current leadership of the republic will remain free.
