In the Kaliningrad region, FSB officers detained the owner of the Intention Personnel Training Center company, who organized a local cell of the International Church of Scientology on the basis of his organization. This was announced on March 31 in the Department of the department for the region.

It is clarified that the man studied Scientology literature and materials from the American Scientology organizations WISE Int. and CST, whose work is considered undesirable in Russia. A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of activities of undesirable NGOs").

During the searches, the security forces seized personal folders of students, lecture materials and thematic literature from the office and apartment of the defendant. The man himself has been placed in custody.

It is clarified that the detainee is a speaker of WISE Int. and has been advising companies in Russia for more than 20 years using the methods of these American NGOs. According to the charter, such corporations were created to achieve religious goals, promote and promote the religious teachings of L. Ron Hubbard. At the same time, the fundamental publications of Scientology in Russia are included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials (FSEM).

The FSB stressed that, according to psychiatrists, Scientology religious rituals are an analogue of hypnosis and are not safe for life and health, and a number of Scientology churches in the Russian Federation have been recognized as extremist organizations or liquidated.
