Liksutov announced the opening of the motorcycle season

This year's motorcycle season will open on April 26 — a motorcycle festival will be held on this day, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry.
"Such events are a good opportunity to remind all road users about the need to follow the rules and behave responsibly behind the wheel. We continue to improve the safety of travel in the capital, as instructed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin," Liksutov said.
As part of the festival, a mass motorcade ride along the Garden Ring is traditionally organized. Last year, more than 15,000 people took part in the event.
The opening of the new season is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to Liksutov, this time a grandiose program has been prepared, including events that will be of interest to both current motorcyclists and those who are just about to join motorcycle culture. As part of the planned events, instructors will be able to answer questions about motorcycles and equipment, as well as address the issue of compliance with rules and safety measures while driving.
Two years ago, about 5,000 people took part in the motorcycle parade: motorcyclists from Moscow, the Moscow region, Orel and St. Petersburg. Liksutov himself led the motorcycle parade then.
According to marketplaces, in February–March 2025, motorcycle sales in Russia increased 1.7 times compared to the same period in 2024. The average cost of a vehicle in 2025 varies depending on the site — from 200 thousand to 240 thousand rubles. Sellers are waiting for an even greater increase in demand closer to the start of the motorcycle season.
