"We remind motorists that the lives and health of their passengers depend entirely on the skills, driving experience, well-being and law-abiding behavior behind the wheel. Avoid risky driving, exceeding the speed limit, sudden changes of lanes, overtaking, driving into oncoming traffic even in permitted areas, and other dangerous maneuvers. We also draw the attention of drivers to the strict observance of the rules for transporting children. Take care of your young passengers, preventing even the prerequisites for a possible tragedy," Police Colonel Sergei Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of child traffic injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, told Izvestia.

On March 28, it was reported that the State Duma had prepared a bill proposing to triple the fine for parking cars on the sidewalk. The fine should increase from 1 thousand to 3 thousand rubles, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles, the deputies believe.
