Khabarovsk Regional Court sentenced a 26-year-old local resident to 13 years in prison in a case of high treason. This was announced on March 31 by the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, in 2023, the man found information on the Internet about the details of electronic wallets used to raise funds for financial support of the Ukrainian armed forces, and transferred cryptocurrency to these accounts.

The court found the defendant guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason") and sentenced him to 13 years in a high-security penal colony with 1 year of restriction of liberty.

Earlier, on March 28, the Second Western District Military Court found a native of St. Petersburg guilty of treason and sentenced him to 12 years in prison. It was noted that the man intended to cross the state border in the region and join the Ukrainian terrorist paramilitary association to participate in activities directed against the Russian Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
