The weather forecaster named the rainiest day for Muscovites this week


The most intense rains will begin in Moscow on April 1 in the afternoon and will continue on Wednesday night, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonovosti news agency, told Izvestia on March 31. At the same time, it is expected that on April 3, the temperature will begin to drop significantly.
On the last day of March, the weather will be determined by an anticyclone. No precipitation is forecast. It will be sunny and warm. The air temperature is in the range of +13...+14 degrees.
"Tomorrow, atmospheric pressure will begin to decrease, and the weather will be shaped by a southern cyclone. It is with the southern cyclone that we expect a significant amount of precipitation, that is, almost until the end of the working week, the weather will be cloudy with rains of varying intensity. The most intense precipitation will begin tomorrow in Moscow in the afternoon and will continue on the night of Wednesday, April 2," Pozdnyakova said.
According to her, then the intensity of precipitation will decrease. The warm east wind will change to a northerly one, and the air temperature will begin to drop. On April 1, the daytime temperature may be at the level of +12...+14 degrees — three to four degrees above the climatic norm.
The wind on Wednesday, April 2, will be quite dense, from the north, gusts will reach 12-14 m/s.
Starting from the second half of the week, on April 3, the temperature will begin to drop significantly. At night, the prevailing temperature will be only 0...+5 degrees, daytime temperature from April 3 to April 5 inclusive +5...+10 degrees. According to the forecaster, the air temperature will return to the climatic norm typical for the end of the first five days of April.
"We need to prepare for the fact that starting tomorrow we will definitely need to have umbrellas with us, and by the middle of the week we should return to warmer clothes as soon as possible," Pozdnyakova stressed.
Earlier, on March 5, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that the air temperature in the spring of 2025 in the territory of the Russian Federation would be within or slightly below normal. He also added that last winter in the country was the second warmest in the history of observations.
