French film director Yves Boisset has died.


Famous French film director Yves Boisset has died at the age of 86. This was reported on March 31 by RTL TV channel.
It is specified that the film director was in a hospital in Levallois-Perret near Paris for several days.
Yves Boisset graduated from the French Institute of Higher Film Education. In the 1970s, he was the leader of French political cinema. His most famous film is "It Happened on a Holiday" (Dupont Lajoie, 1975), which was based on the racist murders in Marseille. This film won a special jury prize and two more awards at the 25th Berlin Film Festival. In recent years, he has been involved in projects for television.
