On May 6, the V International Festival of Proper Cinema starts at the Victory Museum. The film forum will be held at the museum on Poklonnaya Gora until May 14, 2025. The Victory Museum will become the central venue of the festival, and film screenings will also take place in museums and educational institutions in the regions of Russia as part of the Victory Territory and Victory School Museum projects. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
"The landmark event of the jubilee year will be the V International Festival of Proper Cinema, which has been held by the museum since 2022. The festival program will consist of two parts: competitive and non-competitive. These areas will be complemented by educational and educational events, including creative meetings with film authors and film crews. All film screenings and events will be free for the audience," said Lara Pomykanova, director of the International Festival of Proper Cinema, head of the Poklonka Cinema at the Victory Museum.
In total, the competition received over 300 applications from 17 countries. The commission will select 30 films to participate in the competition program. The festival will feature the best films based on traditional values, ideas of humanism and charity, helping to preserve the continuity of generations. The films will be presented in the following categories: feature films, documentaries, animated and short films, as well as special reports. In addition, non—competitive screenings will be organized, including those dedicated to the anniversaries of outstanding actors and film directors - Innokenty Smoktunovsky, Peter Todorovsky, Nonna Mordyukova, etc.
The organizers of the festival are the Victory Museum, TM-Film LLC. The general information partners of the festival are the Russian news agency TASS and the REN TV channel. Information partners of the festival: Zvezda TV and Radio Company, Kinobusiness Segodnya magazine, FederalPress media holding, Sputnik radio station MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
