The international dance festival LOTUS FEST was held in Astrakhan

The LOTUS FEST International Dance Festival was held in Astrakhan from March 27 to March 30. Participants from almost 70 cities and five countries competed in it, including representatives from Kazakhstan, Brazil, Canada and France.

"Astrakhan was definitely supposed to become the main central venue of the dance industry, because we have a great school and such an enterprising youth," said Igor Babushkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region.

He stressed that all necessary conditions have been created for young people in the region. The international dance Festival is being held in the city for the second time, Babushkin said. He expressed the hope that the trend will be maintained in the coming years.

In total, about 3,000 dancers took part in the LOTUS FEST, almost twice as many as last year. The winners got a unique chance to show their skills at prestigious competitions in South Korea.

An educational film festival for young people was held in Moscow the day before. The masters of cinema and theater shared the secrets of the industry with students and schoolchildren. The festival gathered hundreds of participants.
