- The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed the regrets of some EU politicians about rejecting Putin's proposals.

A number of European Union (EU) politicians regret rejecting Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposals on European security in 2021. This was stated on March 31 by Kirill Logvinov, Director of the Department of International Organizations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with TASS.
"I know how, in hindsight, some EU members regretted that they rudely rejected Russian proposals on the issue of European security at the end of 2021," he stressed.
Logvinov noted that the arrogance and unwillingness of European politicians to listen to Russia's position led to the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine. He added that the EU is now actively engaged in rewriting history and is not thinking about the consequences of a course of confrontation with Russia.
On March 30, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Western countries were "put under arms" in order to "use their bayonets" to try to prolong the life of the Kiev regime.
Earlier, on March 26, Sergei Naryshkin, director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, stressed that EU countries are trying to rewrite the history of the twentieth century so that the younger generation believes that Russia was not the victor of Nazism in World War II.
