The idea of the World Health Organization (WHO) to increase the age of youth to 44 years is rational. This was announced on March 31 by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

"This proposal is quite rational, and many countries have already implemented it today, so we support it," Murashko was quoted as saying by TASS.

It is planned that people aged 18 to 44 will be considered young people, and from 45 to 59 — middle-aged. At the moment, the federal law "On Youth Policy in the Russian Federation" should refer to people aged 14 to 35 years inclusive as youth.

On March 26, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education Gennady Onishchenko called for an increase in the age of young people due to an increase in average life expectancy. He is confident that such measures will not infringe on anyone's rights.
