In Romania, a highway was blocked and people were evacuated due to a sulfuric acid leak. This was reported on March 31 by the local information channel Digi 24.

It is noted that the leak occurred through the central valve of the tanker truck. Specialists who prevent chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats were involved to eliminate the consequences.

"The national highway DN1 was closed on Monday morning in Prahova district, near the town of Komarnik, after a leak of sulfuric acid from a tanker truck was reported. The district authorities have announced the evacuation of the population in the area," the message says.

At the moment, residents have been evacuated within a radius of 100 m from the scene and at a distance of 500 m in a southeasterly direction in the direction of the wind.

Earlier, on January 27, in Pakistan, in the province of Punjab, an explosion of a tanker truck with liquefied gas in the city of Multan killed six people and injured 31 others. The incident occurred due to a gas leak in one of the tanker's valves. After the explosion, a large fire started, and debris from the car hit residential buildings.
