- The accompanying children told about the disrupted trip to China due to the fault of the tour operator

Almost 100 schoolchildren from the Magadan, Sakhalin regions, as well as Khabarovsk and Kamchatka territories were unable to leave for China due to the Lucky Travel tour operator in Vladivostok. Elena Piktorova, who accompanies the children, told Izvestia the details on March 31.
"We suspected that everything had failed when we returned from another excursion two days ago and were asked to take a two-hour walk because there were some problems with the hotel," she said.
The next day, information was received from the tour managers from China that no one would go to the country because nothing had been paid. The children were upset about the incident, says Piktorova.
The Russian tour operator did not respond for several days. Then he got in touch and offered two options: either the guys change the ticket and fly themselves, or the parents pay for the hotel themselves before flying home.
"The expectation from the trip was positive. We thought that we would get a lot of positive emotions, everything would be fine, and we didn't even imagine that such an incident would happen. And that's the day we find out that we might not be going to China. Everyone was in shock," said student Zlata Ruchkova.
It is clarified that an inspection was carried out on the fact of the incident, based on the materials of which the issue of initiating a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services of inadequate quality") was resolved. As a result, the actions of the entrepreneur who organized the tour were qualified under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").
Ekaterina Dolgikh, Head of Marketing at Tutu Aviation Services, informed that when traveling with children abroad, it is important that each child is registered in the parent's passport.
Since 2024, the attitude towards this requirement has become stricter. In addition, in order for a child under the age of 14 to enter Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and South Ossetia, his citizenship must be indicated on his birth certificate.
