- The Foreign Ministry pointed out that the EU has no desire to work with Russia in the field of counterterrorism.

The European Union (EU) has no plans to restore cooperation with Russia in the field of countering terrorism, Kirill Logvinov, director of the Department of International Organizations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on March 31.
This is how the diplomat answered the question of whether the EU had a desire to restore dialogue against the background of the events unfolding in Syria.
"We have not received any relevant proposals from the EU. And I don't think it will arrive in the foreseeable future," he told TASS.
John Ratcliffe, the candidate for the post of head of the CIA, said on January 15 that Russia and the United States can cooperate in the fight against terrorism because they face similar threats. According to him, there are cases when information or intelligence can be shared for the mutual benefit of both countries.
