On Sunday, March 30, five flashes of power class M were recorded on the Sun. This was reported on the website of the Institute of Applied Geophysics.

All outbreaks were registered in one group of spots — 4048. According to the institute's staff, the first outbreak of M1.4 (S14E82) occurred after 00:38 on March 30. Its duration was 33 minutes.

After that, at 02:00 and 04:48, two more flashes were recorded: M1.5 with a duration of 45 minutes and M1.9 with a duration of 38 minutes. In the evening, at 19:42 and 20:07, there were two more flashes M1.6 and M1.4, the duration of which was 31 and 14 minutes.

On March 28, Sergey Bogachev, head of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the IKI RAS, announced that a powerful X1.1 high-class flare had occurred at the eastern edge of the Sun. He noted that this was the first flare of this level in the last month.
